Antennas Direct to be Featured at CEDIA Expo in Indianapolis

Wildwood, MO (ContentDesk) August 28, 2005 -- When the heavy hitters in the custom electronics industry gather in Indianapolis for the 2005 CEDIA Expo,
St. Louis-based Antennas Direct (www.antennasdirect.com) will be there to roll out their latest innovation, the Lacrosse HDTV antenna.The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) hosts the annual event to showcase the newest trends and technologies in custom electronics.
This year's expo is expected to draw more than 25,000 residential electronic systems contractors, manufacturers, distributors, media and other industry professionals to the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome September 7-11."This event is the Super Bowl of custom electronics," Antennas Direct President Richard Schneider said.
"I couldn't imagine a better venue to introduce the custom electronics community to the Lacrosse.
The inquiries we have received on the Lacrosse have been very strong from both the media and the public."According to Schneider, the Lacrosse is the new breed of rooftop antenna, combining the technology behind Antennas Direct's most popular models, with a streamlined design for a more appealing appearance.

The Lacrosse stands just 14" tall and 20" wide, and weighs only 6.8 lbs.
The antenna is housed in an outer shell, to give it the thinnest profile possible.
When the Lacrosse is made available to the public, it will come in an amplified version and a non-amplified version.
The Lacrosse is set to be released on the market November 1 of this year.
The amplified version will carry a retail price of $179.00, and the non-amplified version will be priced at around $149.00.Highlights of the 5-day CEDIA Expo include the keynote address by noted inventor, author and technology trendsetter Ray Kurzweil.

Kurzweil is known for developing the first print-to-speech reading machine for the blind, the first CCD flat-bed scanner, the first text-to-speech synthesizer and the first music synthesizer capable of recreating orchestral instruments.
In 2002, he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.CEDIA is an international trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home.
